JVC Office LAN is ideal for a variety of facilities and floor plans, from small office workgroups to large open bay areas. Installation is quick and easy, eliminating the extended time and physical constraints associated with traditional LAN wiring. Utilizing Infrared Wireless Technology, the JVC Office LAN is completely Ethernet compatible and provides flexible connectivity at the same 10Mbps speed and performance as standard wired 10Base-T cable connections. No special software, gateways or protocol setups are required for the JVC Office LAN. The system is unaffected by radio frequency and electro-mechanical interference, thus assuring safe and secure transmission of data. The JVC Office LAN consists of a 360o ceiling-mounted Satellite unit, connected directly to the user's LAN backbone, and Node units connected to a PC's network card or Hub supporting multiple users. By simply pointing the Node in the direction of the Satellite and pushing the unit's Search button, the Node will automatically align and lock the signal to the Satellite. The system comes with a Satellite, 2 Nodes, and 2 T-Adapters. An optional JVC Power Hub is also available to provide DC power to the Nodes.
